Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo, has supposedly been released for Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphone in form of an unofficial ROM or a firmware update.
The recent reports claim that the Android 2.2 update for the Galaxy S is presently stable, but still consists of a few bugs that includes crashes, freezing while browsing the internet and a non-functional camera flash.
Moreover the software has come with a precautionary note that states of installing the ROM at your risk.
Experts taint this to be an actual field testing that is meant for the revamping of Android 2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S.
Samsung has stated that the official release of the Android 2.2 OS update for the Galaxy S is scheduled for September, so users can either wait for it or risk it by installing the device.
HDBlog, the renowned Italian tech site has uploaded a video stating that the Android 2.2 ROM betters the performance and response mechanism of the smartphone.
